Three women have been injured after a crash in Ledbury.

A woman in her 40s and two in their 50s were left in the care of paramedics after two vehicles crashed on Ross Road last night (Tuesday).

One of the cars had left the road while the other was stuck on its side.

Firefighters, police and paramedics rushed to the scene and the road was blocked off in both directions.

BT also attended the incident to check a damaged telegraph pole.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Ledbury Fire Station was called at 6.56pm, May 9, to make vehicles safe after an RTC in Ross Road, Ledbury.

"The incident involved two vehicles, one of which had left the roadway and the other was on its side.

"The scene was made safe by fire service personnel, and BT also attended to check a damaged telegraph pole.

"The road was blocked in both directions, and there were three female casualties, one in her 40s and two in their 50s, who were handed over to the care of the ambulance service.

"Police also attended.

"The incident was marked as closed at 8.20pm."
