A HEREFORD football club supporter has been taken to hospital after today's match against Curzon Ashton.
Emergency services responded to calls that a Hereford FC supporter was suffering a medical emergency during a match at Edgar Street in Hereford today (October 21).
The Hereford Times understands that the incident involved a man suffering a heart attack.
According to Hereford Pegasus, he is a former manager for its first team. In a public Facebook post, Kevin Bishop wrote: “All at the club are wishing former first team manager Steve Griffiths a speedy recovery following his heart attack earlier today at Edgar Street.”
The post drew lots of comments from well-wishers. Andrew Jones wished him a “speedy recovery” while Chris Burton commented: “Fight this mate, be strong.”

The club's medical team, an off-duty air ambulance doctor, and private ambulance company Point to Point worked together to help before West Midlands Ambulance Service arrived.
He was taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition, Hereford FC confirmed.
Hereford FC posted on Twitter to thank medical professionals for their help, and to wish him a full and speedy recovery. The club said: "We wish them a full and speedy recovery. We would like to thank our match day medical team, including paramedics, our doctor, and an off-duty Helimed doctor who all provided a response."
