Dickerson helps team home

MALVERN-based Dave Dickerson was part of the Echelon-Spiuk team which won a 10-mile time trial race.
The 10-mile event at the Alcester Evesham Course was won by Richard Bradley of Arctic Rochford with a time of 20:07mins whilst Adrian Bird with 21:16 lead the Echelon-Spiuk team to the team victory being well supported by Dickerson in 21:20 and Mark Heath in 21:48.
In the Ladies event, Michelle Parsons from Evesham Wheelers, won with 23:26 and Arja Scarsbrooke, Echelon -Spiuk took second with 25:11.
Sunday's 25-mile event was won by Steve Price of Worcester St Johns with a personal best time of 52:09 and Paul Dring of the promoting club who took 5th place in a personal best time of 54:04 along with Dickerson in54:41 and Mark Heath 55:18 secured the team honours for the second day running.
The win and a fine second place in personal best time of 20:38 for the 10-mile event gave Steve Price the overall prize for the weekend.
Michelle Parsons was again the fastest lady with an excellent time of 59:23 mins.to give her the overall Ladies combined prize.
